Rooming and Security
Roommates for Gymdog Camp are decided by you, the camper.  The only way to GUARANTEE a roommate is by your child identifying her roommates full name on her registration form.  The desired roommate must also identify your child on her registration form in order to secure each other as roommates.  Campers who do not have an exact match will be given a roommate based on the gym they attend, age, and level.  Rooming will be finalized just prior to camp registration, so therefore we will not have any roommate information in advance.  Again, to guarantee a roommate, make sure she is your daughters 1st Choice.  We do our best to keep gyms on the same hall in the dorms.  However, remember that Gymdog Camp is an amazing experience and part of this is your child making lasting friendships!  There is no better way to do this that to have a random roommate!  We as a staff will do everything we can to make sure your daughter feels as comforable as possible.  Please help us by encouraging your child to be open to meeting new people and experiencing new things.  The camper will have an assigned counselor for the week as well as a dorm mom.  The dorms provided security and the exterior doors remain locked.  There will be counselors on each floor.

Cell Phones
If your child brings a cell phone to camp, she WILL NOT BE ALLOWED to talk on it while walking to and from the facilities or in between rotations.  Gymdog Camp is not responsible for lost or stolen cell phones.

Medical
Accident/medical coverage for the camp will be provided on a excess or secondary basis. This means that all claims for medical expenses as a result of injuries incurred during camp MUST be sent to the injured child’s parent for filing with their own insurance carrier. The camp policy will pay for those expenses not paid for under the parent’s coverage or if the parent does not have coverage, subject to the camp policy coverage limits, terms, conditions and exclusions. A doctor is on call and hospital and student facilities are readily accessible. A physician’s statement form will be sent to you along with confirmation of your registration. The completed form must be presented upon arrival at camp. Every effort is made to protect the health and safety of our campers. The camp assumes no responsibility for accidents or illness. The University of Georgia and the University of Georgia Athletic Association, Inc. are not responsible for any injuries sustained by student participant or camp employee.
